Bobby,
You are correct. Sherman and I do love teaching, and we get great satisfaction from teaching. I can tell you from personal experience that the highlight of my entire investing career was when I got a call from a student I had been helping for about six months. She had just closed on selling a property on which she really messed up the buy. She only made just over 2K, but she was bouncing off the walls with excitement. If I had made a million dollars that day, it could not have overshadowed that phone call. I love helping other people.
That said, I am asked more and more to teach others. That takes time away from investing. While I give away a lot of information and time, I do have to feed my family. As a result, I must charge for my time when I teach. Some people cannot afford personal one on one coaching, or live boot camps. That is why we produce home study courses. It is a cost effective way to provide good information to others who cannot afford, or otherwise do not want to attend a live boot camp. But others learn better at a live event and are willing to make the time and financial commitment to attend.
Regardless of how much a student paid for a class,or what class they were involved with, we both genuinely care about and are committed to the success of our students. I have a lot of trust and faith in Sherman, and those who know him like I do know both his heart and his priorities are in the right place.
Bruce..
