Guest: Bruce Norton, Dr. Pre-Foreclosure
This was just ONE of the "BOMB-SHELLS" that Bruce Norton dropped while recording this week's Realinvestors' Talk Radio Show. -- Yes, he really has sent an email to everyone on his list of clients, customers and investors to tell them to STOP ALL ACTIVITIES regarding home owners in foreclosure in the state of Maryland. ... So why would the single-most knowledgeable person on the entire planet advise his friends and clients to stop dealing with owner occupied foreclosures in the ENTIRE state of Maryland? Because under EMERGENCY POWERS, on Thursday April 3, 2008, Maryland Governor O' Malley signed into law "DRAMATIC and SIGNIFICANT" changes to the 2005 Maryland Homeowners' Protection Act (SB-761), which changes everything with regards to what investors can do for, or with homeowners who own property in the What else did Bruce have to say about what he is now describing as the "2008 Maryland Foreclosure Laws"??? ... "Its no longer just about foreclosures, its about being in default! Under the new law, you can get into serious trouble as an investor - even if the homeowner has not received a notice of default" ..."the NEW law is very clear - If you are going to be a Foreclosure Consultant AND assist in the sale of the house, YOU MUST be Licensed EFFECTIVE Thursday April 3rd, 2008." "... There is no question in my mind that this law came about, because of...." If you are investing in Maryland then you will not want to wait to get this information. The law went into effect 4-weeks ago, HOWEVER, because of how it went into effect (we discuss this too on the show) the information is JUST NOW being made PUBLIC! Do not get caught short. If you are operating under the old rules that went into effect in 2005, YOU ARE PROBABLY BREAKING ONE OR MORE PARTS OF THE 2008 LAW, Which is the "Law of the Land" NOW! Maryland is now Officially the most aggressive state in the Nation with regards to provisions which protect home owners in DEFAULT - NOT FORECLOSURE - DEFAULT. No longer does the home owner actually have to have received notice from their lender, as in 2005. This is too important to ignore. Yes, you can still make money, but you need to stay out of trouble to fully enjoy it!
